Adoption Home Study Services
Overview of the Process
The home study process plays two crucial roles. First, it helps assess emotional readiness and overall suitability for parenting an adopted child. Second, it guarantees that the child's best interests are prioritized during the adoption journey. It is essential to ensure that adopted children are paired with families capable of providing a healthy, safe, stable, and loving environment that meets their needs.
During the process, I will complete a report that includes visits to your home, a safety check of the home environment, background checks, as well as information about your family’s background, financial situation, medical information, and personal references. The home study process can take up to 4 weeks to complete.
A copy of the home study will be provided to you, as well as your attorney or agency.

My objective is to inform you about crucial aspects of your home that ensure a child's safety. I will check for the following: fire escape routes displayed on every floor, firearms securely stored in a locked case, a fence surrounding the pool, screens installed on all windows, and various other potential hazards that could pose a risk to a child.
